QUETTA: The Provincial Minister Food Asfand Yar Kakar’ s house under attack and two attackers and his guard were killed in firing incident in Killi Shabo area of Tajekabad in provincial capital on Monday.
According to the police two unknown armed men tried to attack on provincial minister’ house and injured the guard after returning the firing two attackers were killed on the spot.
The deceased were shifted to the civil hospital and injured in CMH for treatment.
The attacker was identified as Jhangir khan and his friend Imran Khan and guard as Shoib.
“It could be the revenge of the Kakar tribe firing in Khuchlack incident where seven people were killed,” sources said.
The case has been registered again the unknown persons and investigation is underway.
At least seven people were killed and five others wounded after an armed clash erupted between two groups, in Kuchlak, some 15 kilometres away from Quetta, on Monday.
An armed clash took place between two clans of Kakar tribe in Wazirabad area of Killi Madrassa of Kuchlak. As a result, seven people were killed and five others wounded including the passerby.
“Police and other law enforcement agencies have rushed to the spot soon after the incident and moved the dead and injured to Civil Hospital Quetta”, a police official said adding that casualties had occurred from both sides. “Initial reports suggest that the clash took place owing to a dispute over a piece of land, however, further investigations were underway to unearth real motive behind the incident” he added.
When contacted DIG Investigation, Hamid Shakeel, he confirmed that seven people had been killed and four others wounded in the shooting adding that the situation was now under control.
Five deceased were identified as Haji Abdul Bari, Muhammad Kakar, Abdul Zahir Kakar, Haji Faiz Kakar and Haji Muhammad Kakar while injured were identified as Amjad Kakar, Sarwar Jan, Syed Wali and one unidentified person.
Police have registered a case into the incident and further investigations were underway.
Meanwhile two people were killed and another wounded in Usta Muhammad area of Jaffarabad district, on Monday.
According to police, armed men riding a motorbike opened indiscriminate fire in Goth Ali Jan Langov of Usta Muhammad and fled from the scene after committing the crime. Resultantly, three persons sustained multiple bullets wounds and were being rushed to the hospital where two injured identified as Ghulam Rasool and Kamisa breathed their last.
Police handed over the bodies to heirs after completing legal formalities and started investigation into the murder. However, police said caused behind the killing is yet to be known.
Meanwhile a man was killed in Dera Murad Jamali while two people were kidnapped from Bolan in two separate incidents, on Monday.
In the first incident, unidentified armed men opened indiscriminate fire in Dera Murad Jamali. As a result, Allayar sustained injuries and died while being shifted to hospital.
Police rushed to the site after the incident and started investigation into the killing. However, motive behind the killing is yet to be ascertained.
In the second incident, unidentified armed men kidnapped two persons, identified as Muhammad Saleem and Saleh at gunpoint from Bagh area of Bolan. The kidnappers escaped towards undisclosed location after bundling them into vehicle.
Levies Force personnel rushed to the site after being informed about the incident and started a search to trace out the kidnappers.
Levies Force suspected the incident might be a case of kidnapping for ransom.
